Top 10 Restaurant Cities In America

Do you remember how we Charlotteans used to fret over whether or not we were a “world-class city?” We developed this terrible habit of comparing ourselves to bigger burgs like New York, Chicago, and our cosmopolitan cousin down the road, Atlanta. Well, those other cities can suck eggs because li’l ol’ Charlotte just outclassed all of them. On second thought, they can bite rocks. We need the eggs for our world-class cuisine.

The venerable dining guide Zagat has released their list of America’s 26 Hottest Food Cities of 2016 and Charlotte has sauteed its way into the top ten. In fact, we’re one spot ahead of Atlanta and have left New York and Chicago waiting for a table at one of our acclaimed restaurants. It’s also worth noting that two other North Carolina cities made the cut. I guess Charlotte should strive to be less like Atlanta and more like Asheville.
