After months of waiting and watching her every move and contraction - now we can see popular mom April and baby Tajiri face-to-face!
The Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY (central NY state), has "opened for the season on Monday, giving visitors their first chance to see the long-awaited calf in person." But, according to Spectrum News, "the line to get into the wildlife park on opening day snaked into the parking lot, filled with people eager to see April, Tajiri and dad Oliver all together."
Also, don't expect a tiny baby Tajiri, as he's "already grown to 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 180 pounds."
((Sigh))....they grow so fast....

The park is also celebrating 'World Giraffe Day' on June 18, by the way, and also is hosting a now sold-out event, 'Drafts with Giraffes' on June 24th.
Aside from the star (giraffe family) attractions, the park, per their website, "is an interactive educational animal park; designed to promote up close and hands-on animal encounters! Hand feed many domestic and exotic animal ambassadors or get within feet of our cute, but less cuddly, carnivores."
Plan your summer vacation now, but do plan to have some patience to see Tajiri and family!
