North Carolina Has Two Of 2018's Hottest Housing Markets

If you had told me twenty years ago that TV shows about people shopping for homes would be popular, I would have said you needed to be put in a home. HGTV proved me wrong. House Hunters is good stuff.

Here in North Carolina, house hunting is practically a sport. Real estate website Zillow has released its annual Hottest Housing Markets list. The "hotness" predictions are based on factors such as home values, rental prices, income growth, job opportunities, and unemployment rate. Two North Carolina metros, including Charlotte, are in the top five:

1. San Jose, Calif.

2. Raleigh

3. Seattle

4. Charlotte

5. San Francisco

6. Austin, Texas

7. Denver

8. Nashville, Tenn.

9. Portland, Ore.

10. Dallas
