Oh no! Say it isn't so!
The sibs and besties are at odds these days.
While Ann and Nancy were rocking in concert, back in August, 2016, Ann Wilson's husband was assaulting sister Nancy Wilson's children on her new tour bus!
Per Rolling Stone, Heart was performing at Auburn, Washington's White River Amphitheatre. Backstage, Nancy's then-16-year-old twin sons asked their uncle, Ann's husband Dean Wetter, if they could see Ann's new tour bus. Wetter brought the teenagers and Nancy's stepdaughter to the vehicle, but asked them to keep the door closed so the dogs on the bus couldn't escape. When the twins exited the bus after the visit, the first one out left the door open for the other two behind him, enraging Wetter.
This is where things get ugly. "Dean became immediately upset and began calling [one of the teens] names … slap[ping] him on the back of the head, causing pain." Then, "after Wetter grabbed him by the throat, Nancy's other son intervened."
Oh my. And, yes, the situation worsened. The article continues,"Police arrested the then-66-year-old Wetter, charging him with two counts of assault, one felony and one misdemeanor."
That was then, this is now, apparently, on March 9th, Wetter pleaded guilty to two non-felony assault charges in the fourth degree.
Sentencing was yesterday, April 14th, with details still to come.
In the meantime, the girls barely communicate and hope to be able to move on from this uncomfortable and unfortunate situation that pits family against family in the future.
It's been a no-win for all.
For now, they've gone their different ways. Ann's now in the midst of a US tour as "Ann Wilson of Heart" with dates close to us in Atlanta and Nashville, Nancy, on the other hand, founded a new band called Roadcase Royale.
