Back to ‘Camp North End’ for a minute. Per CharlotteFive.com, it’s “the massive new project ATCO Properties & Management is developing north of Uptown…(they are transforming) …a bunch of historic buildings that used to be an old Ford factory (Ford used to build Model T’s there!) and a missile plant into a massive mix of offices, housing, retail and more.”
‘Camp’ is an acronym for ‘Charlotte Army Missile Plant.’
Where is Camp North End? Just north of Uptown, north of the N.C. Music Factory, between Statesville Avenue, Graham Street and Woodward Avenue.
To GPS, the address is: 1776 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC.
See ya there!
