We should all be able to rock as hard as Bob Seger at the age of 72. America's coolest septuagenarian is going back out on the road with the Silver Bullet Band later this year for the 2017 Runaway Train Tour. They'll hit cities across the U.S. from August through October, including a stop at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC on Thursday, October 5th.

The last time I saw Bob Seger perform live was in Greenville in January of 2012. It was the only time I've ever had front row seats. And it was awesome. The concert had been rescheduled after he had fallen ill months earlier. But on that night, Bob was in fine form as he belted out one great hit after another. Below are some highlights from that show filmed by someone who must have been standing just a few rows behind me.

In addition to the October 5th concert in Greenville, the tour goes to Infinite Energy Arena in Atlanta on October 7th. Bob Seger clearly knows a thing or two about infinite energy. Nancy Wilson of Heart will open select shows. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 16th.

Phil Harris is 50% of "Phil & Mel in the Afternoon" on K104.7. He has been with the station since 2013 and on the air in Charlotte since 2000.
