Little Edith Fuller of Tulsa, Oklahoma turned 6 last month, and this month, she was in the throws of the Scripps National Spelling Bee!

Per, “For 6-year-old Edith Fuller, it was E-A-S-Y.”

Watch her spell ‘nyctinasty,’ a word meaning, according to Wikipedia, “s the circadian rhythmic nastic movement of higher plants in response to the onset of darkness.”

Last Wednesday, Edith nailed both “nyctinasty” and “tapas” in her two rounds.

But, unfortunately, the home-schooled kindergartener ended up getting eliminated from Thursday’s finals due to her score on a written test.

There’s next year, Edith, and the year after that, and the year after that…and the year after that….
