20 Cheap Things To Entertain Kids This Summer
I really admire my co-worker, Phil Harris. He and his wife work hard on keeping their two boys entertained with great experiences during summer break. Today, he was telling me about taking his (early-teens) sons to some of the racing facilities’ garages here in Concord, Huntersville and Mooresville. Many are free to attend and you can watch the mechanics work on the actual cars for the upcoming weekend’s races.
Some of us struggle, though, with keeping multiple kids, of different ages, busy during summer vacation.

The range from free swimming lessons, bowling, going panning for gold – yes – just a short drive away from the Charlotte Metro, in Midland, NC.

There are also free shows on Tuesdays at ImagineOn, free swimming pools and spray-stations. You can visit nature centers free, kids can get their ya-ya’s out on the trampolines (also free) at SpringFree Trampoline at Blakeney Shopping Center.
