When I plan a family vacation, it doesn’t always go the way I hope. However, I hit a homerun with our trip to Puerto Rico last week.
Spanish is the predominant language and they sometimes use the metric system in Puerto Rico, but the money is same as everywhere else in the U.S. and you don’t need a passport to get there. It’s exotic and familiar at the same time. But most of all, Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with quiet beaches; stunning mountains and rainforests; terrific food; rich history; and warm, friendly people. We’ll be going back.
