Spanish is the predominant language and they sometimes use the metric system in Puerto Rico, but the money is same as everywhere else in the U.S. and you don't need a passport to get there. It's exotic and familiar at the same time. But most of all, Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with quiet beaches; stunning mountains and rainforests; terrific food; rich history; and warm, friendly people. We'll be going back.
