Footage Of A Funnel Cloud In Mecklenburg County Surfaces Online
Earlier this evening, a tornado warning was issued as a major storm system moved into Mecklenburg Country and surrounding areas — producing heavy rain and knocking out power for thousands of residents.
Local resident Kelsey Beheler was exiting Interstate 85 when she noticed what appeared to be a funnel cloud in the distance.
Beheler captured the footage while she was driving in the direction of Interstate 485.
It’s too early to tell if the funnel cloud touched down, but so far, no reports of damage have come in.
