Laurie Strode and Michael Myers are returning to the big screen for one more showdown. The final installment of the iconic Halloween movies is in the works and it’s scheduled to open in theaters next October. The best part is that Jamie Lee Curtis will be starring in it, reprising the Strode role that made her famous forty years ago.

Jamie Lee Curtis teased Halloween fans on Twitter earlier this month: “Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18.”

What Curtis didn’t mention in the tweet is that the movie is being filmed in Charleston, SC, which is known as one of America’s most haunted cities. Production begins in November. Here’s a look back at the original:
