Jake Ryan was the boyfriend you wanted in the 80's. I mean, I wanted to BE Molly Ringwald in that movie. "Sixteen Candles" was a classic! It was a movie that spoke to so many of us in the 80's. It explained those crazy, unsettling, teenage years. As a teen in 1984, I related to Molly Ringwald's character.
If you're a fan of "Sixteen Candles", and have some serious cash in the bank, then the "Baker" house could be yours! The home of "Samantha" and her family is up for sale in Evanston, Illinois, close to Chicago. Come on....who wouldn't want to answer the door that "Long Duck Dong" answered.... :)
