Gwyneth Paltrow Has Made An Extravagant, Unnecessary Baby Accessory
If you’re into shoes, you’d probably love to have a pair of Louboutin heels in your closet. But the pricy pumps cost hundreds of dollars, so snagging a pair for yourself isn’t exactly feasible. Actress and GOOP creator Gwyneth Paltrow must not have gotten this memo because she’s teaming up with Louboutin to create a totally extravagant and fairly unnecessary accessory for children: Louboutin shoes for babies, called the Loubibaby. Okay, the name is pretty cute, we have to admit.
You want your kids to have the best of everything, and in this case, that means a $250 pair of ballet flat-style designer shoes, complete with the brand’s signature red sole. Sure, your child will grow out of them in a few months, but they’ll be the envy of everyone on the playground in the meantime.
In addition to the pint-sized pairs, Paltrow and Louboutin are releasing a line of (equally expensive) pumps for adults, too. Paltrow spoke about the kids’ collection, saying, “It was an honor to work with Christian and his team to design the quintessential collection of fall classics: true investment pieces that us—and eventually our daughters and nieces—will wear for years.”
Now that would be the kind of hand-me-down a kid wouldn’t mind receiving!
