Christmas Bell Ringers Needed
The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte is looking for a few good bell ringers. Their iconic Red Kettle campaign begins November 17th so it’s time to volunteer and help those in need this Christmas.
Since 1904, the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte has provided critical services to homeless families and at-risk youth throughout our community. The Red Kettle campaign is a big part of funding that outreach. Last year, more than $325,000 was raised during the holidays and it wouldn’t have happened without the volunteers. I can tell you from personal experience that ringing one of those bells for a few hours is a wonderful way to experience the spirit of the season.
Red Kettles will be stationed at over fifty locations around Charlotte, and more across the metro region, through December 23rd. You can Register to Ring for three-hour shifts Monday through Saturday throughout the campaign. And don’t miss the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff ceremony at Trade and Tryon Streets in uptown Charlotte on November 17th at 11:00 AM.
