Seafood Doesn’t Get Any Fresher Than At An Underwater Restaurant
We’ve all seen enough mob movies to know that sleeping with the fish is something to avoid. But what about dining with the fish? Norway is about to become home to Europe’s first underwater restaurant.
Architectural firm Snøhetta has unveiled its design for the new aquatic eatery in the southern coastal village of Båly. The restaurant will be built from concrete and feature a thirty-six foot wide panoramic window five meters below the ocean’s surface.
Of course, the nearby supply of extremely fresh seafood will be prominently featured on the menu, but some of the ingredients will be spared. Part of the new restaurant will serve as a marine biology research center. Here’s a peek:
