Yesterday, Phil ventured into Gaston County. I was born, and raised in Gastonia. And I still live in Gaston County. Phil and his son had dinner last night at one of my favorite places, Twin Tops Fish Camp. If you're from the South, you're familiar with fish camps. When I was young, my family would have Friday night dinners at Lineburger's Fish Camp. It was THE place to go! I remember being so excited for Friday's! Not only because of the hush puppies, but because I knew if I ate my dinner, and was good, that my parents would let me go through the huge candy counter at Lineburger's, and get my own little paper bag filled with candy. Phil said that he and his son really enjoyed the food at Twin Tops, and that the customer service was top notch. This made me happy! There are so many great places to eat in Gastonia, and having grown up there, many of the places bring back awesome memories for me. Just a tip, if you ever find yourself in Gastonia or Gaston County, Tony's Ice Cream, RO's BBQ, and Twin Tops are places to check out.
