Who says the government doesn't do anything useful? Every year, the Social Security Administration releases the list of America's most popular baby names. This can be very helpful for parents-to-be who are trying to decide what to call their little bundle of joy.

In 2017, Liam took over as the most popular baby name for boys, while Emma was the most popular for girls for the fourth year in a row. Also interesting to note that for the first time since World War II, the name Michael has dropped out of the top ten.

The fastest growing name over the last year is Ensley, jumping up from 1,461 to 965 on the U.S. list. And it looks like Amazon's virtual assistant app may have hurt the popularity of the name Alexa. Well, it would be confusing to have two Alexas in the house.
