Believe it or not, ‘tis the season to start thinking about holiday toys, especially when there's a chance the toys your kids want for Christmas could be sold out if you wait too long. But how do you know what to get? Luckily, there's a cheat sheet to help.

The Toys 'R' Us holiday catalog is a thing of the past, so now kids (and parents) turn to Amazon's Top 100 Toys list for retail inspiration. The hottest toys of 2018 run the gamut from classics (Hauck Lightning Pedal Go-Kart), to building sets (LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall Building Kit), to crafty STEM/STEAM-related toys (Crayola Color Chemistry Set For Kids), to a game in which the goal is to avoid stepping in unicorn poop (Hasbro's Don’t Step In It: Unicorn Edition).

Some of these toys are already hard to find, so be prepared to do some hunting. To see the rest of Amazon's list of the hottest toys for the holidays, CLICK HERE.
