We always think we have more time to do things but the calendar waits for no one. This holiday season is already flying by. If you haven't taken your family out to see some of the Charlotte area's great Christmas attractions this year, you had better do it soon.

Here are my picks:

Charlotte Christmas Village and Uptown Christmas Tree - New location: Tryon and 7th Street.

Christmas Town USA - A drive through the town of McAdenville in Gaston County has been a tradition for families since 1956.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden's Holidays at the Garden - Lights, orchids, trains, and s' mores.

Hillside Avenue Lights - Residents along this Myers Park street show off their lights and collect food donations for Loaves & Fishes.

Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra at Founders Hall - Why should the bankers have all the fun?

Speedway Christmas - Drive on the track, visit Bethlehem village, and enjoy a holiday drive-in movie on the big screen.

Winter Wonderland at SouthPark - 100% chance of ice...skating.

WinterFest at Carowinds - The theme park is totally transformed.
