A man in Las Vegas was left fighting for his life after getting a flu shot. Shane Morgan got the flu shot to protect his baby boy from getting extremely sick, unfortunately, it was Shane that ended up in the ER.
Two days after he and his wife got the shot Shane began to lose feeling in his arms and legs. Within days he was unable to walk, talk, breath independently or see.
Medical professionals diagnosed Shane with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare side effect that occurs in some following vaccinations. Shane’s family and friends have started a GoFund Me account to assist with the growing medical bills following his diagnosis.
The CDC says that for the most part flu vaccines have a ‘good safety record.’
