I realize that not everyone loves spending time in the kitchen, but I truly enjoy it. And I think a fun cookbook with lots of amazing recipes makes time

in the kitchen that much more interesting.

Cookbooks make excellent Christmas presents! Oddly, I always forget that until I see one that looks great. I love getting new cookbooks. I'm a fan not only of cooking, but I enjoy eating. And a great cookbook makes both more fun.

If you have someone on your Christmas list that digs being in the kitchen, here are the best cookbooks of 2018. Although I don't have the latest from Ina Garten, I love her cookbooks. The recipes aren't too difficult, the pictures in her books are stunning, and everything I've made from one of her cookbooks is freakin' delicious!

One of my goals for 2019 is to cook healthier, and to also get out of my comfort zone in regard to cooking. I'm decent in the kitchen, but I'd love to learn some new recipes, and new details on how to use leftovers. The "Now & Again" cookbook by Julia Turshen looks perfect for that. I also think the cookbook by Snoop Dogg would be a blast to check out.
