Ho, Ho, NOOO: America’s Most Stressful Airports
Are you flying somewhere this holiday season? Travel-related stress is almost guaranteed, especially at this time of year. One of the biggest causes of that stress is flight cancellations and they can be worse depending on the airport from where you’re flying, as well as the time of your departure.
InsureMyTrip has just revealed their list of the 75 Most Stressful U.S. Airports, ranking them based on flight cancellations. It’s no surprise that all three major airports closest to New York City are in the top ten. LaGuardia Airport takes the crown with the highest percentage of canceled flights in 2018.
Your stress level will probably increase if you’re supposed to depart in the late afternoon. Flights scheduled to leave between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM are most likely to be delayed and canceled. And just because the airport has relaxing rocking chairs in the concourse doesn’t keep it immune from holiday travel hassles. Charlotte Douglas International Airport cracked the top fifteen. Be sure to pack plenty of patience.
