‘Springsteen On Broadway’ Now On Netflix

Some entertainers reach a place in their career where they have the freedom to create whatever they want and audiences eat it up. Bruce Springsteen is one of those entertainers. 

I admit that when I first heard Bruce was doing a one-man show on Broadway, I was skeptical. I was wrong to doubt the Boss. The original plan for Springsteen on Broadway was for an eight-week run of shows. It became one of the toughest tickets to get in New York and played for more than a year at the Walter Kerr Theater.

Fortunately for those of us who never got close to seeing the Tony Award-winning show live, Springsteen on Broadway is now on Netflix, premiering just hours after the stage production closed on Sunday, December 16th. In some ways, it may be even better on TV thanks to the close-up camera work.

A companion live album, with all of the songs and spoken word introductions from the Broadway production, is also available now on CD, download, or streaming. Vinyl enthusiasts will have to wait until January 25, 2019.
