Where Is Everyone Going For New Year’s Eve?
There’s no place like home for the holidays but it can be fun to celebrate somewhere else, too. Having just returned from New York, I can tell you that the Big Apple is still a very popular spot in December. That will carry over into January because New York City is one of the top destinations for New Year’s Eve, according to online travel service Agoda.

Times Square isn’t the only popular place to ring in 2019, though. In fact, the favorite New Year’s destination for U.S. travelers is Las Vegas for the third year in a row. New York is #2 on the North American list. Across the Pacific, Tokyo is the top Asian destination, followed by Bangkok. Heading in the other direction, Paris is #1 for people traveling to Europe, followed by London.

Of course, who you celebrate New Year’s Eve with is more important than where you celebrate. But no matter where you begin the party, just be sure it doesn’t end in the hospital or jail.
