When I grow up, I want to be this lady. She is my hero for the week! 89 year-old Maisie Green hand knitted coats and blankets for shelter dogs. 450

coats and blankets!

Dogs Trust is a 127-year-old charity that works to find homes for dogs throughout the UK, and Maisie decided to help the pups out in her spare time. It takes her three days to knit a doggy blanket and one day to make a coat, and Maisie says she does it while she's watching television. It's taken a few years for Maisie to knit all the sweaters and coats, but it's amazing to me that she's done so many!

My rescue dog Maxwell passed away two weeks ago. He had cancer. It was unexpected, and I'm still missing him lots. Eventually, I'll rescue another pup, but in the mean time, I may take up knitting. What an inspiration Maisie is! Total rock star!  You can read more details here.
