You've probably heard me mention that I'm not a fan of award's shows. I just can't sit through them. I didn't watch the Golden Globe Awards on

Sunday night, but I will say that Melissa McCarthy is the true winner of the night!

I have always said that you can never underestimate the power of a good sandwich, and I'm guessing Melissa McCarthy thinks the same way.  There's a big dinner that's served before the Golden Globes, but usually, most stars are doing interviews, and therefore end starving throughout the super long show. Or at least they used to, Melissa McCarthy got the idea to sneak 40 ham and cheese sandwiches into the show. Yup!  Melissa and her husband managed to sneak 40 ham and cheese baguettes into the broadcast without getting caught onscreen at all over the course of four hours. No one is sure how they smuggled the food in, and truth told, it doesn't matter. The fact that she did it is awesome! The sandwiches were a big hit as there were only two left at the end of the night. Who doesn't like a sammich?

I have always loved Melissa McCarthy. She's hilarious. Years ago, a radio guy I worked with compared me to her, and I was quite flattered. It's weird, because I don't know her at all, but in my soul I feel like we are very much alike. One thing's for sure, we both appreciate a good sandwich! Melissa McCarthy is now my new "spirit person".
