"Which is better, #1 or #2?"

How often do you have to answer that question?

"Better like this, or better like this?"

It's like "Who's on First" without the comedy. And for many of us, the older we get, the more often we have to co-star in the optometrist's routine.

I got my first pair of glasses when I was in college. One of my roommates noticed that I was squinting to read the large grocery store signs that tell you what's on each aisle. He said, "Dude. You need glasses." That's all it took.

After that first eye exam in 1994, I didn't get another one for about five years. That's how it went for a while but over the past couple of years, my visits to the eye doctor have become more frequent. What can you do? I'd rather get my vision checked and corrected every year than let my eyesight deteriorate to the point that I have a car accident. Or mistake wild animals for house pets.
