AMC Theaters Offering ‘Summer Movie Camp’
Beginning June 5th, participating AMC Theaters will be offering Summer Movie Camp with discounted showings of PG movies on Wednesday mornings. For only $4, kids can watch a movie and get a “Kid’s Pack,” which includes popcorn, fruit snacks, and a drink. You don’t actually have to be a kid or bring one with you to get this deal. Any “kid at heart” can go on Wednesday mornings and get in on the fun. But kids under 12 do need an adult to accompany them.
Some of the fun family-friendly flicks they’re showing include: Smallfoot, Trolls, The LEGO Movie 2, and Wonder Park. AMC’s Summer Movie Camp runs through August 14th, so there’s plenty of time to get to the theater and get your snack on for just $4. Participating theaters near Charlotte include the AMC CLASSIC Lincolnton 8, AMC CLASSIC Shelby 10, and AMC CLASSIC Rock Hill 7.
As a kid, the words “summer,” “movie,” and “camp” would have made me very happy. I was obsessed with movies back then. When I was in high school, I worked at a movie theater in Pennsylvania and saw Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade almost every day for an entire summer. Bliss.
I still love movies, but now I have grown-up responsibilities that keep me from indulging in everything that comes out of Hollywood. Kids need to appreciate their free time while they can. AMC Theaters’ Summer Movie Camp sounds like a great way to do that.
