If a pizza doesn't have sauce, cheese, or any other toppings, is it a pizza?

While you're mulling over that existential mind bender, a national pizza chain is getting ready to roll out their new menu item, "Just The Crusts."

Starting on Thursday, July 18th, Villa Italian Kitchens (Durham, Greensboro, Gaffney, Columbia) will be selling a dish consisting of the crusts of Neapolitan pizzas. That's all. “Just The Crusts" will sell for $2.75 and come in a slice box filled with...just crusts.

Social media users don't know what to think about this. Some people are saying these crusts are nothing more than bread sticks. If that's the case, where's the cup of marinara sauce for dipping? Others think it’s a joke or marketing ploy. There's only one way to find out for sure: visit a Villa Italian Kitchens location on July 18th.
