So, something went really wrong at Carowinds on Sunday night and no one is talking. As a result, their newest rollercoaster attraction, “Copperhead Strike,” remains closed.
Again, at this time it’s still unclear what happened on the ride. The only confirmed fact is that someone injured a thumb while onboard and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Their identity has not been released.
Carowinds officials have released the following, “On Sunday evening, a guest had a thumb injury on the Copperhead Strike rollercoaster. Park officials immediately responded and the guest was transported for medical care. Out of precaution, the ride is currently closed while we conduct an assessment. The safety of our guests is our top priority.”
