Have you ever had a dog wander off on you? Whenever that happens, you do what you can to find them and just hope that they'll reappear. And if it ever happens again, you might want to buy some bacon.

When Kacey Wall and her partner Chris' dog went missing while they were hiking on Vancouver Island in British Columbia this summer, the couple spent more than a week searching the Canadian wilderness for their beloved Beira.

Other hikers and boaters soon joined in to help find the dog, but they weren't having much luck. After eight days of looking for Beira, Kacey and Chris tried a new tactic: cooking bacon. After all, what dog doesn't love bacon?

Sure enough, on the very next day, Beira emerged from the woods. The dogs was a few pounds lighter, but unharmed, and ready to eat. Oh, bacon, is there anything you can't do?
