Zach Galifianakis Hits The Road In ‘Between Two Ferns: The Movie’
If you’ve never seen the Funny or Die web series Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, you’ve been missing out on some of the most awkward, uncomfortable, and hilarious interviews ever filmed. If you have seen it, then you’ll be just as excited as I am to know that Between Two Ferns: The Movie is coming to Netflix.
I’m still disappointed that Zach Galifianakis’ FX series Baskets has come to an end. It was funny and quirky but heartfelt, much like a lot of Galifianakis’ work. Between Two Ferns has always been more biting but, based on the trailer below, it appears that the movie allows for a fuller range of emotions.
Will Ferrell, one of the founders of Funny or Die, makes an appearance in the movie. He plays an executive who orders Galifianakis to go on the road and produce ten more episodes of his interview show. Comedy goes along for the ride.
Zach’s long list of co-stars in the movie also includes Matthew McConaughey, Peter Dinklage, Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, Keanu Reeves, David Letterman, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen. The insults begin flying on September 20th. Here’s a taste:
