CLT Airport is now all-clear after investigating a “suspicious item” in the baggage claim area.
Apparently the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrived to find a bag left behind around 2:30pm on Monday. The baggage was searched by the bomb squad and reported to be safe. The owner was found and the item returned.
Around 5pm the airport was pronounced clear by security. However, this did cause delays in luggage.
