Boy at NC Beach Was Rescued After Getting Caught in Rough Waters
Sunday afternoon, a young boy was rescued by bystanders and beach patrol on Sunset Beach, North Carolina. The boy was pulled into rough water around the pier, according to the Sunset Beach Fire Department.
The National Hurricane Center is advising NC Residents to take caution as dangerous rip currents are possible as a result of Hurricane Humberto.
Although there has been no direct impact from the Humberto on the NC coast, rip currents and bad surf conditions are present.
Sunset Beach and many other NC beaches are at a high risk of rip currents. This is a dangerous level for all swimmers. Swimming is not advised under these conditions.
