Jeff Goldblum is just impressive. The award-winning actor known for his quirky movie roles and even quirkier appearances on TV commercials, talk shows, and social media, is also a seriously good pianist. What began as a hobby when he was a teenager in Pittsburgh, developed into a fifty-year love affair with jazz and, most recently, a recording career.
In 2018, Goldblum and his band, the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, put out their debut release, The Capitol Studios Sessions. It went to Number One on Billboard’s Jazz Albums chart. Perhaps encouraged by that success, Jeff decided to record another collection of songs.
The upcoming album, I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This, features guest vocalists such as Fiona Apple and Anna Calvi. Sharon Van Etten sings on the first single, a cover of Irving Berlin’s “Let’s Face The Music And Dance” from 1936.
I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This will be available on November 1st.
