Huey Lewis & The News signed a recording contract with BMG back in January. Now the band has posted their first new music in over ten years. The last original song they released was the title track on the Pineapple Express soundtrack in 2008. The News released Soulsville in 2009, but that was a collection of R&B covers. Their last full-length album of original tunes was Plan B from 2001.

Last year, Huey Lewis was forced to cancel some tour dates after he was diagnosed with Meniere’s Disease, an inner ear disorder that can result in vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. Lewis tried to perform a few months later but said he couldn’t hear well enough to sing. The future of the band was up in the air.

Fortunately, Huey's condition improved and the group has been able to make music again. Their new album is expected to drop in 2020. The first song they're sharing from that effort is called "Her Love is Killin' Me."
