New “Joker” Film is NOT For Kids!
Tomorrow, October 4th, the new “Joker” movie arrives in theaters and already theater chains are trying to get the word out about the nature of this film. “Joker” is not a kid’s movie, it’s RATED R for a reason. Harsh, adult language and situations and a great deal of violence. The movie stars Joaquin Phoenix as a troubled man on a downward spiral into madness. BATMAN is not in this movie.
This is an origin story for “The Joker” just as “Batman: Beginnings” didn’t feature Batman in his true form until the end of the movie. Alamo Draft House has officially come out with parental warnings about just how dark and violent this film is to avoid the confusion once the movie opens. Other chains are beginning to follow suit. So parents have been forewarned, this is not your typical superhero film. This is something completely different.
