Never mind the possibility of penalties and fines. NFL players are getting more creative with their touchdown celebrations. The Seattle Seahawks proved that this past Sunday.
Late in the 2nd quarter of their game at Cleveland, wide receiver Jaron Brown of the Seahawks made a 17-yard touchdown catch to put Seattle within two points of the Browns. The Cheraw, SC native and former Clemson player was immediately joined by three of his teammates, Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, and David Moore, to channel ‘NSYNC in what became one of the weekend’s best social media moments.
The Seahawks’ receiving corps have clearly been practicing more than just their passing routes. They did a respectable job with ‘NSYNC’s choreography from the 2000 video for “Bye Bye Bye.”
‘NSYNC members Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass saw the celebration and gave it their stamp of approval on social media. And Seattle went on to win the game over Cleveland by a score of 32-28.
It just so happens that the Seahawks are coming to Charlotte to play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, December, 15th. Let’s hope Seattle’s players don’t get the opportunity to do any dancing in the end zones at Bank of America Stadium.
