The Francene Marie Show

Sundays 6:00am-7:00am

We’ve heard more about service dogs in the past than emotional support animals, so what’s the difference? Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA. A Psychiatric Service Dog is a dog that has been trained to perform tasks that assist someone with disabilities to detect the onset of psychiatric episodes, or possibly lessen the effects or triggers.By now you’ve heard about the NFL getting their first-ever emotional support dog, and I’m so happy about it because football players get beat up physically and mentally with probably a ton of emotional strain. Many players in the series suffer from depression due to the game on top of things going on in their personal life. The 49ers decided to add a four-legged friend to the team after a player came forward about his struggles with depression. Thus far the Player’s love some Zoe, like, one player Thomas who gave kudos to the new emaotional support dog. An emotional support dog might help you unwind and unplug from these inevitable struggles. Disclaimer: this is not the picture of the NFL’s support dog.
