Behind The Snacks: The Scooby-Doo Origin Story Is Coming To Theaters
Hollywood has been riding high on the backs of super heroes. Many of the highest-grossing movies of the past decade sprang from the DC and Marvel universes.
As exciting as it is to watch them sling webs, beat up bad guys, and leap tall buildings in a single bound, I’m always interested in the characters’ origin stories. Superman was born on the planet Krypton. Batman is really the wealthy Bruce Wayne. Peter Parker became Spider-man after he was bitten by a radioactive spider. Next spring, we’ll finally learn the origin of America’s favorite four-legged cartoon crime fighter.
It has been fifty years since we first met Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma, and Fred. The new movie Scoob! explores the history of those “meddling kids.” It all started when a boy met a hungry puppy on a beach. Many mysteries soon followed.
