Ryan Gosling has come a long way since his Mickey Mouse Club days, and over his career, has made some incredible movies. There are so many great films that it makes it hard to compare and choose the best ones – but we did.

To celebrate his birthday, let’s look over Ryan Gosling’s five best films.

5. The Notebook

There’s no Ryan Gosling list without The Notebook. Allie and Noah live on forever.

4. The Ides of March

This may have gotten mixed reviews, but Clooney and Gosling on-screen together make for great, movie magic.

3. Blue Valentine Trailer

Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling have insane chemistry in this movie, which makes for a gut-wrenching masterpiece.

2.  La La Land

This movie won an Oscar for Best Picture in 2017. And a couple of seconds later, it lost it. It’s still a winner in our minds, though.

1. Drive

This is more than just another Hollywood movie about cars. Gosling’s character has depth and mystery. That, plus the excellent storyline, make this film worth viewing. Hey, even Rotten Tomatoes give it two thumbs up and a 92 percent.
