This is so cool.
For the third year in a row, nine-year-old Alex Fischer and her six-year-old sister Caroline, have been working hard to raise money to buy Thanksgiving meals for North Carolina families in need. They made $969 from their lemonade and baked goods stand. They also raised 2,000 in donations. Last year the girls raised enough money for 130 boxes of foot and 50 turkeys.
The Fischer sisters are now able to donate 108 boxes filled with turkey dinner staples and 108 turkeys to go with them. They give their supplies to the Charlotte Rescue Mission, a nonprofit that holds an annual Thanksgiving food drive.
The Fischer family is just thankful they have the support to give to families in need.
