VH1 is reportedly preparing to dissolve Shaunie O’Neal’s producer role on its reality TV show Basketball Wives as they feel she’s responsible for the show’s demise, as That Grape Juice reports.
VH1 is attempting to force O’Neal to relinquish her producing power if she wants to remain on-camera. If she agrees, O’Neal will no longer be able to call any shots, even if she’s allowed to retain her executive-producer role (although she won’t have any power in that role either).
Several complaints regarding colorism and mistreatment of the show’s cast members are what is said to be the reasoning for the recent decision.
