I haven’t stayed up to watch an episode of Saturday Night Live in years, but I will this weekend. Eddie Murphy, one of SNL’s all-time funniest performers, returns after thirty-five years to host the show on Saturday, December 21st.

The question that has been on my mind is which, if any, of his classic SNL characters will Eddie Murphy bring back this week? Gumby? Mister Robinson? James Brown? My money is on Mister Robinson, given the recent release of the Mister Rogers film, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. I feel a spoof coming on.
