The Best Christmas Cookie Recipes That Are Great For Any Gathering
Today is “National Bake Cookies Day” so I thought it’d be a good idea to share some cookie recipes. I LOVE Christmas cookies! I think it’s because I grew up Jewish, and I didn’t have them often. Once in a while I’d spend Christmas with my best friend and her family, and I just loved the Christmas cookies they always had.
I enjoy cooking and baking now, but as a child, I was a tomboy. I had three brothers, so my mom and I didn’t really bake lots. Hanukkah has lots of traditions, but for my family, baking wasn’t something we did. I guess I became so fond of Christmas cookies cause I didn’t grow up with them. Just the plain sugar cookies with sprinkles and/or icing make me happy!
And it’s not just the taste of Christmas cookies that I love. I just love the way they look! Simple, bright, happy…..they just scream HOLIDAY time to me. It really doesn’t take much to make me smile! LOL!
We are now ONE week away from Christmas and although I realize lots of folks have already done their Christmas baking, these recipes may have you busting the cookie sheet back out. The Coconut Snowman Cookies look adorable and tasty, the Molasses Cookies look warm and comforting, and Santa’s Favorite Cookies just yells out “Merry Christmas!”
