Brooks’ Sandwich House Re-Opening On February 1st
The famous burgers, hot dogs, and chili are coming back. Nearly two months after the murder of Brooks’ Sandwich House co-owner Scott Brooks, the iconic NoDa lunch spot at 2710 N. Brevard Street will open its doors to the public once again on Saturday, February 1st.
The re-opening will come with some changes. As a result of the early morning shooting on December 9th, Brooks’ Sandwich House will no longer serve breakfast. The new Monday-Friday hours will be 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM so that employees won’t have to open or close when its dark outside, and never alone. The walk-up restaurant will not be open on weekends beyond February 1st.
CMPD is still looking for the person responsible for the death of 61-year-old Scott Brooks. The reward for information leading to an arrest has been increased to $21,000. If you know anything that might help investigators, you’re asked to call 704-432-TIPS.
