Sign Spinning Is An Actual Sport And There’s A World Competition
We’ve all been driving down the road and seen someone standing on a corner, holding up a sign to promote a particular business. Some sign holders are dressed in costume, and some perform tricks with the sign. The ones that “sign spin” are able to make serious loot at the 2020 World Sign Spinning Championship.
Yep. You read that correctly. There is a World Sign Spinning Championship, and it’s held in Las Vegas. Sign spinning has become somewhat of a sport, with participants doing all kinds of tricks to garner attention. Kyle Blalock is “sign spinner” from Charlotte and he’s been doing it for over 10 years. Blalock, along with others from Charlotte are heading to Vegas for the competition.
“Sign Spinners” at the world competition are judged on best technical ability, execution and style. The participants are very competitive as the winner of the competition will win serious prize money.
