There aren’t too many people on the planet who have won more than one Grammy Award. Tony Bennett has nineteen of them, and to call him timeless is an understatement. At the age of 93, Tony is still going strong.
Over the course of his 75-year career, Tony Bennett sang for his fellow servicemen in World War II, landed on the pre-rock & roll pop charts, evolved into a beloved jazz artist, and stayed relevant into the 21st Century by collaborating with contemporary artists such as Lady Gaga. That all led to worldwide record sales in the millions with dozens of platinum and gold albums. Bennett even managed to find time to become a successful painter. He’s a true artist.
The man who famously left his heart in San Francisco will be sharing plenty of it this weekend in Charlotte. Tony Bennett performs at the Belk Theater on Sunday, February 16th. Tickets are still available. That sounds like an unforgettable Valentine’s weekend experience.
