‘Reno 911!’ Is Coming Back For A Seventh Season In A New Place
I’ve always liked watching police reality shows. If I’m flipping through the channels and see an episode of Cops, I immediately get drawn into the drama and dysfunction. And it doesn’t even matter if it’s a spoof of that type of show, which is how I became a fan of Reno 911!, which aired for six seasons (2003-2009) on Comedy Central.
Ever since the show’s original run came to an end, there have been rumors of a Reno 911! reboot. After all, it was one of the cable network’s most popular shows. Now it’s official. The original cast will be returning for a seventh season, but it won’t be on Comedy Central. Instead, the show will be returning on the Quibi streaming service.
Some of the cast members will be doing double duty. Wendi McLendon-Covey (below left) will have to split her time between Reno 911! and ABC’s The Goldbergs. And Niecy Nash (below right) is also currently starring on the TNT series Claws.
