From the "ya can't make this stuff up file", a couple has named their twins after the COVID-19 pandemic. Nope. Not even joking! It sounds like a story out of Florida, but it's not. The couple is from India.

The twins, a boy and a girl, have been named Covid and Corona. The couple said the names would remind them about the hardships they experienced during their lock down due to the pandemic. The twins were born on March 27, two days after the lock down was ordered in their city in India.

Now, I get that they wanted unique names for their kids but SERIOUSLY?! The father of the twins said he wanted the fear associated with these names to end. Ummmmm....ok.

The couple did say that there was pressure, however, from family elders to name the children something else. The parents say they might change their minds and if the do, they could rename the kids at a later date.

I'll say this: if they don't change the name's of the twins they may have trouble making friends and finding playmates! I guess it could have been worse. The kids COULD have been named Virus and Vaccine. HA!
